Lemon Herbed Steamed Carrots

I've noticed lately that I post a lot of heavy one dish meals, or sugary desserts, but I don't often write about side dishes. And let me tell you, side dishes are not always the easiest, but in this is SUPER easy! Steamed carrots with some butter and seasoning, and you have a quick and delcious side for meat, chicken, or fish.

Lemon Herbed Steamed Carrots


  • 2-3 cups baby carrots
  • 1 tbsp butter ( I used Smart Balance with Olive Oil)
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. lemon herb seasoning mixture
Steam carrots in a steam basket over simmering water for 20 minuts until easily pierced with a fork. Tranfer to a serving bowl. Toss carrots with butter, 1/2 tsp. pepper, and 1 tsp. lemon herb seasoning. Serve hot.
