Avocado Toast

Last week my boyfriend had a business dinner at a local pizzeria and when he came over afterwards he brought me this amazing freshly baked loaf of Italian bread. After a squeel of delight and a big hug, my mind immediately starting swimming with ideas. First things first, avocado toasts. These are a quick and easy breakfast with a side of eggs, as an appetizer with wine, or as an afternoon snack.

Well, hello beautiful. Yes, I talk to my food. It's fine.

Avocado Toast

Ingredients:
  • freshly baked loaf of bread, sliced on an angle
  • 1 garlic clove, cut in half
  • 1/2 large avocado
  • salt and pepper

In a toaster oven, toast the bread slices on both sides until lightly golden brown. Remove and rub the cut garlic cloves on the warmed bread. The garlic will become fragrant, and oils will transfer on to the bread. Top with smashed avocado, salt, and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
