Weekly Wednesday Tips

It's not always about the food itself, but the techniques and tips that can turn a mediocre experience at the table, into an unforgettable meal. Here are 5 tips to remember when creating culinary cuisines.

1). Store your dried spices in a cool dark place. If you store them above your stove, the heat will cause them to lose their flavor.

2). When working with garlic, rub your hands on you stainless steel sink for 30 seconds before washing your hands to remove the garlicky odor.

3). When chopping fresh herbs, throw some salt onto the cutting board first to keep them from flying around.

4). When baking, ALWAYS leave butter and eggs at room temperature over night for best results.

5). Do not use oil in the water when boiling pasta. This will prevent the sauce from sticking to the cooked noodles.

Hope you all learned a little something this morning. Until next time.
