Most people are very adamant about their snack preferences. Where some people may find a sweet tooth, I in fact would prefer a bag of chips over a bag of skittles or a snickers bar any day. My favorite go to snack is Terra Sweet Potato Chips
. But like most manufacturers, you open the bag and half of it is air, while the other half of the bag is filled with crumbs that used to be full-sized chips. I solved this age old problem by making my own sweet potato chips. Plus I got to enjoy a glass of wine while waiting for them to finish baking!
Sweet Potato Chips
Ingredients:
- 1 large sweet potato
- olive oil
- sea salt
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Wash and scrub the sweet potato, then dry. Cut the ends off and using a mandolin, slice the sweet potato into very thin slices. Drizzle the "chips" with olive oil and align them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle them with sea salt and bake for 10 minutes. Flip the chips over and bake for another 10 minutes.
