The end of blood orange season is here.... noooooooooooo! So with that said I had to throw in on elast recipe, if you can even call this a recipe, it's so easy, in dedication to my favorite fruit. These make a perfectly simple, yet classy snack for anyone. Who doesn't like the classic combination of choclate and orange together? Now step your orange game up a little by using blood oranges, and sprinkle them with a little flaky sea salt. Sweet, savory, salty. All of the best things, all in one bite. Delicious.
Chocolate Covered Blood Oranges
Ingredients:
- 2 blood oranges, peeled and separated
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet baking chips
- 1 tbsp. whipping cream
- flaky sea salt
In a small saucepan, heat the whipping cream and baking chocolate together over low, stirring constantly until it becomes a smooth, silky mixture.
Carefully dip the orange slices into the chocolate, about half way in, then place onto a baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Sprinkle with sea salt, then repeat with the remaining orange slices.
Place in the fridge until the chocolate solidifies, about 30 minutes. Serve chilled.
