Sometimes you just need to throw away your gourmet cookbooks, and all of these new, and fancy kitchen gadgets, and make yourself a homemade batch of brownies with just a whisk and a saucepan. Simple, yet delicious. These can be whipped for Valentine's Day tonight, or on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Brownies
Ingredients:
Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium soup pot over medium heat. Remove from heat.
Whisk in sugar, mix well. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Add the salt and vanilla. Add the flour until mixture is smooth.
Pour into a 9x13 in. baking dish and cook at 325 degrees until a tootpick comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
Brownies

- 1 stick butter, cut into pieces
- 3 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup flour
