Well guys. I survived. This Arizona native survived a 4-day-weekend, in the snow, with freezing temperatures. Which also happened to be my first ski trip since I was, oh I don't know, about 10 years old. I had to borrow ski gear from my mom from the 1990's, and my best friend's snowboarding jacket and goggles, but once I made it out there, it was like riding a bike again.
I imagined my weekend would go a little something like this:
But really, it was like this:
Next time we could do without the altitude and car sickness. But all in all it was a great weekend had by all, and I was so happy to see my boyfriend back in his element (being from Connecticut, and living in Arizona), he hasn't gotten to ski in a couple of years. We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition, and it was the perfect way to spend a much needed long weekend with my love and his family!
And speaking of my love... Happy Birthday Andrew! I love you more than all of the re-runs of Friends on TV, wine, and all of the French macarons in the world!
That's a lot of love if you ask me - Friends re-runs, wine, and macarons?? ;) . Also, totally impressed with your skiing ability, I don't think I would ever even have the nerve to try! Ha!
ReplyDeleteThose are my favorite things in this world...and I love him more! lol. Skiing is quite the adventure, but it sure beats sticking to my leather car seats here in AZ!
