White Chocolate Valentine Popcorn

If your week leading up to Valentine's is anything like mine, then you have been binge watching Scandal on Netflix while your boyfriend is traveling for work, in between batches of baking, laundry, and dishes. Okay. So maybe your week isn't like mine, but this is a great sweet and salty treat, not to mention cute little sayings on the conversation hearts! I may or may not have bought a 4 lb. bag of conversation hearts (my absolute favorite candy). So, needless to say I have my sugar fix for weeks! I'm more of a stay-at-home-in-my-sweats-and-make-Valentines-dinner type of girl. So, you won't be finding me at an overpriced restaurant with a prix-fixed menu. You can find me roasting spare ribs and whipping up homemade chocolate pot de creme this week. Don't worry. Recipes will follow.

White Chocolate Valentine Popcorn

Ingredients:
  • 8 cups popped plain popcorn
  • 12-oz. bag of white chocolate chips or melts
  • 1 cup conversation heart candy
In a microwave or double broiler, melt the white chocolate chips. Be careful not burn them, so stir often.

Once the chocolate is melted, pour over the popcorn in a large bowl. Toss with conversation hearts.

Spread out the popcorn mixture on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, wax paper, or aluminum foil. Let the popcorn harden for 10-20 minutes in the fridge before breaking up into chunks and serving.
