Apple Nachos

Nachos, and sweets, all in one! This recipe replaces salty fried tortilla chips with delicious granny smith apple slices. And the toppings, well you can go rogue on this one, but think caramel instead of cheese, chocolate instead of greasy meat, and marshmallows instead of sour cream.

Apple Nachos

Ingredients:
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, sliced
  • 35 large marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 35 caramels
  • 1 tbsp. evaporated milk (or half and half)
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 cup peanuts (optional
  • 1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Slice apples and arrange on platter.

In a saucepan, melt marshmallows and butter until creamy. Set aside.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt caramels with milk, stirring every 30 seconds or so to prevent burning. Set aside.

Pour marshmallow cream over apple slices, followed by caramel sauce. Drizzle chocolate syrup and sprinkle with the peanuts and mini morsels. Serve immediately!
