Cranberry-licious Sauce

I refuse to eat cranberry sauce out of a can. It is a jelly tube full of who-knows-what processed ingredients that cannot even be pronounced. However, my attitude towards pre-packaged cranberries was quickly forgotten once I got my hands on this recipe. With only 5 ingredients, you have got to try this recipe this Thanksgiving!

Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 8 cups cranberries
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • pinch of salt
Put all ingredients in a sauce pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer until desired consistency, about 40 to 50 minutes.

Let cool to room temperature before placing in the fridge to cool. Remove cinnamon stick before serving.
